I've been teaching K-12 IEP students online here for almost a year now. Honestly I was scared at first because online with special education sounds serious. But it works better than I thought.

Kids get me 1-on-1. Not a recording. I see their face, I know when they're lost. Last month I had a kid who hated the Pythagorean theorem and now he asks for more homework in trigonometry. Reality is that parents and students are not losing anything by being online.

The pay is fine, nothing crazy, but no commute saves me money and mental health. Reviewing homework still sucks but having an school online platform makes it much easier to track each student and their progress daily, weekly and per semester.

Overall, I'm happy here. It works for me and my students are doing well.
